A Days Stop in Singapore
The next location on our indonesia journey actually brought us to Singapore. As the two countries are neighbours and only separated by the Singapore Strait it was quite easy. We flew into it from Medan and left again two nights later via a fast ferry to Batam.
As it was actually already my second visit to Singapore I encountered many places I have already seen in my 2018 visit. Still there are always new things to discover in a large city like singapore.
In our first stop, Sentosa Island, we were directly greeted by some beautiful wildlife.
What we also found was a beautiful art installtion by Thomas Dambo. With his sculptures he is trying to bring awearness to trash, pollution and recycling.
Not only was the recycled art an inspiration to think, but the also very obvious Thinker
Statue by
Auguste Rodin, which is located in the Marina Bay.

After exploring more of the Downtown area we ended up on the Marina Bay Observation deck which had a great view, but was still underwhelming. We expected to be able to walk around freely on the observation deck, but in reality there was just a small viewing platform and an overcrowded small restaurant. The view was nevertheless quite fascinating.
After that we went down into the Gardens By the Bay, enjoyed our dinner there and had a look at the light show. Finally, we started to wen back to our hotel, while also enjoying more of Singapore night scenery.
